picardo.

A letter from the founders

Most of us no longer have a doctor who knows us. Visits are short and impersonal. Doctors are scrambling under an unsustainable workload, so each of us has had to become our own care coordinator, chasing appointments, keeping records, asking friends for referrals, and trying to figure out what care we actually need. No one is looking out for us.

A better kind of medicine already exists. Concierge practices give you a doctor who knows you, answers quickly, and gets you to the right specialist. It’s the best care there is, and it costs thousands of dollars a year, which puts it out of reach for most people.

AI can change that. Much of what makes concierge care expensive isn’t medicine. It’s the paperwork, coordination, and follow-up that fill a clinician’s day, and AI can do most of it. Care should also be fast and proactive. When something is worrying you, you shouldn’t have to wait weeks for an answer.

Two things have to be true for that to work. AI needs your full history: every lab, scan, prescription, and visit, wherever it happened. It needs your full context to spot patterns. And then it has to be able to take action in the messy real world of care delivery, like scheduling tests, booking referrals, and following up.

Clinicians stay in charge. AI handles the everyday questions and the logistics, and doctors make the medical decisions with your whole history in front of them. With the paperwork handled, they have time for proper preventive care: finding problems years early instead of treating them once they arrive.

You shouldn’t have to wait for symptoms or get past gatekeepers to look after your own health. The attention a concierge doctor gives should be available to everyone. You should own your data, and you should feel in control.

That’s why we’re building Picardo. Our mission is to give everyone a medical team that knows them, is there when they need it, and helps them live longer, healthier lives.
